In order to avoid being outnumbered by the DUP, Delsin does have some basic sneak mechanics that can come in quite handy. When sneaking around he is able to incapacitate enemies quietly without being seen. His video power is probably the most useful for stealth as it comes with an invisibility move, should you want to pick off your enemies one by one whilst being undetected. Be warned, as the stealth mechanics in this game are quite basic you can’t afford to get too over confident as one false move will alert your enemies. In Seattle, you can tag buildings, fences, and structures to build up you hero/evil meter and really stick it to the D.U.P. This is my favorite thing to do in the game. You hold the controller sideways, shake it like a spray can, and press a trigger button to paint. I honestly wish there was a game that focused only on this mechanic. All in all, the game delivers on the tease of its slogan, “enjoy your power.” I enjoyed it quite a bit, even if it won’t be winning any personal awards. The city is beaming with life and energy, the powers are absolutely delicious, and the story, while largely unfulfilling, is refreshingly straightforward and unafraid to make you laugh in serious situations. All of this is coming from a guy who found a five-minute rundown of the first two Infamous games and decided they were unnecessary to enjoying this one. Now, I don't pretend to be some smooth operator. I don't get all the ladies, far from it. I've accepted that about myself. I'm not socially awkward but I also don't walk into clubs and start macking. Upcoming Releases While Smoke and Neon and Concrete are somewhat non-traditional powers (along with Glass, Wire and Paper, spoken of, but not seen in the game), Video is a whole other level of bizarre.
